Why the need for a firefighter math test?
Unfortunately, to become a firefighter you’re going to have to take some tests, and undoubtedly you will eventually come across some math questions, and if you struggle with the firefighter math test on your written exam…you’re not alone!
The math section is without a doubt the biggest sticking point for firefighter candidates on their test.

- Word Problems – It’s unanimous…word problems suck! You never know what they’re asking, how to set up the question, what is and isn’t important or where to start. These can get pretty in depth, but fortunately we’ll cover exactly what you need to know. This video not only gives you a simple 3 step process to simplify ANY word problem but shows you exactly how to approach and solve them as well. Each video comes with a downloadable worksheet of problems that will be covered in the video, so you can actually work out the problems along with the video.
This allows you to see, hear and do the problems at your own pace. Ingraining the lessons in your mind. Feel free to stop, rewind and pause as much or as little as you’d like. Repeat the lessons as much as you want! They’re yours!
